An Analytical Study on the Responses of Journalism Concerning the Medical Services

Abstract
|
|
|
This study was aimed at a measurement of the interest of the people and medical professionals on the problems which were caused by medical services in the daily papers or the medical newspapers.
The collected materials for this study were The Chosun Ilbo, The Hankook Ilbo, The Dong-A Ilbo, and The Joung-ang Daily News(from 1985. 1. i to 1989. 12. 31).
And the author also collected the materials from the Medical papers (The Korean M.D. News, The R.M.A. News, The Who Sang Shinbo) in the same period.
The articles on the medical services of the above papers were collected and analyzed into the 8 types.
The results obtained were as follows
1. The order of carrying the articles on the medical services in the paper was Artificial insemination & In vitro fertilization (27.1%), Medical wrong doing, Unjustice(24.8%), Medical Ethics(17.3%), respectively.
2. The order of carrying the articles on the medical services in the medical papers was Medical dispute (20.5%), Medical Ethics (19.3%), Medical accident (17.1%), respectively.
